Student's Responsibilities
The student agrees to meet all co-op program expectations and to:
- work safely and diligently
- attend workplace as agreed and achieve maximum learning
- notify supervisor and school in advance of any anticipated absense
contact supervisor and school immediately in the event of an accident
- arrange for transportation to and from the workplace
- follow the dress cose of the company/organization
- complete daily log sheets
- maintatin confidentiality

Employer's Responsibilities
The supervisor agrees to:
- conduct a realistic interview
- review student's resume and cover letter
- discuss student's interests, strengths, and goals
- outline company expectations including acceptable behaviour, standards of performance, dress code, attendance, and notification of absence
- indicate experience available at workplace
- provide opportunity for student to ask questions
- provide feedback upon completion of the interview
- accept student who will benefit from and contribute to work environment
- give clear instructions and share expertise while supervising student learning
- assist student by assessing on-the-job performance
- consult with teacher about any problems that are forseen or arise
- provide a safe environment by instructing student about safety procedures/regulations and use of personal protective equipment, if needed
- help student feel part of the work team
- monitor attendance of students

- develop student learning expectations with supervisor
- integrate workplace experience and expectations with curriculum
- monitor student learning
- evaluate student performance
